Stojocup

The collapsible cup has become a staple in my handbag over the past 6 months. It is compact, suitable for holding hot and cold drinks, and easy to maintain.

There are two types of collapsible cups in the market based on what I’ve observed. One is by Stojo and the other is brandless. I have used both and would like to share my thoughts with regards to purchasing a collapsible cup.

Differences between Stojo and Brandless:

  1. Size: The brandless one is bigger at 550ml while the Stojo is slightly smaller at 473ml. I have used the Stojo to purchase Koi (bubble tea) at its smallest size and apparently its still not big enough to contain all the bubble tea in the smallest serving. The brandless one is able to hold one serving of Koi bubble tea.
  2. Leakages: I used the brandless collapsible cup 3 times and on the 4th use, it started to leak even while holding it. In contrast, I’ve used the Stojo countless times and it still holds firm.
  3. Design of lid: The brandless collapsible cup has a mouth piece on the lid which resembles that of a cocktail straw while the lid on the Stojo has a hole that is big enough for the silicone straw that comes with it. I personally prefer the Stojo as the mouthpiece allows easier flow for thicker liquids such as soup.
  4. Straw: Only the Stojo collapsible cup comes with a straw. The straw is big enough for pearls in your bubble tea to slip through.
  5. Quality: This is the biggest difference that I see. In terms of quality, fit, design and anti-leakage, the Stojo wins hands down. I have used it multiple times and I’m still able to collapse the cup easily based on its folds. However for the brandless one, I started experiencing difficulties in collapsing the cup at the 3rd use to its compact size and it was just a mess.

To summarise, if you’re looking for a collapsible cup, I highly recommended the Stojo collapsible cup. I’m on a mission to purchase quality over quantity and the Stojo is really the better choice (once again I’m not sponsored to write this). *You can get your Stojo Collapsible Cup here!

Hope this helps! Let me know if you’ve tried the generic brandless ones too and how it has gone for you because my experience may be different from yours.

  1. Hi! Are the bubble tea pearls able to fit through the straw provided by Stojo? I don’t think the bubble tea metal straws are able to fit in the Stojo cup, that’s why I’m asking. Looking to get the Stojo but not sure if I can use it for bubble tea with pearls, would appreciate any help I can get! Thank you! 🙂

    • Hi Charlene,

So far I have tried them for Koi and they are able to fit! Of course it really depends on which shop and which toppings but generally the Stojo straw works.

      Hope this helps. 🙂

      Love,

  2. I ‘ve bought a large stojo bucket however the bubbles get stuck in the straw at 2 different bbt shops 😦 I think only smaller pearls at selected shops will slip through
